The Project
The brief was to replace an outdated Flash component, used for visually designing uniforms, with a component that would offer a similar level of interactivity without needing to adjust the server-side code.
React was chosen as a tool to achieve this as it offers excellent interaction handling while still being accessible for the widest range of devices and browsing methods.
The original illustrations were extracted from the Flash document, and incorporated into the new React component as SVGs – this meant that React could handle the visual changes required using CSS
